BLITZ Fundraiser - Ends Sept 19th

BLITZ is not over! We are heading towards $33,000 in donations!!! Help us get to that $35,000 mark. Prize winners will be announced once all donations are received. We are raising funds for a new wrap for the semi and a new guard trailer. Contact friends & family - they can still donate even if they weren't added to the system. Just send them the link and they can donate DIRECTLY and still select their student's name from the drop down list. Checks are accepted too. See details on our fan-pledge website. Please share on social media!  https://event.fan-pledge.com/23487

Refund Check Procedure #5 - CHECKS in the mail

Parents: Email process is complete. Mr. Klein sent you an email if you have a credit balance. Please REPLY to the email to confirm the amount deposited, refund amount, and contact information (shipping address and payee). The goal is to complete the refund check process by August 31st if not earlier.

Since we are lowering the fall marching band fee to $200, it is time to do another round of refund checks to those who have paid more than $200 or to those who have credits from indoor winds, winter guard, and indoor drumline. All credit balances will first be applied to any balance due for band fees (this includes instrument usage fees). Any remaining credits will be refunded with a check (no future credit options at this time). Fundraisers and scholarship credits are non-refundable.

All State Music & NEW Tutorial VIDEOS

TMEA released the 2020-2021 All-State music last week. Auditions (Region and Area) will be conducted via video submission upload. More details to come as TMEA finalizes the process. TMEA also announced the new All-State Percussion Ensemble for the 2021 TMEA convention. This means they will take more percussionists from Area auditions to fill the All-State Bands, Orchestras, and the new Percussion Ensemble. Obtaining a spot in the Texas All-State Ensembles can lead to scholarship money regardless of college major.

CHS Band has traditionally used this music as a big part of our fall curriculum with weekly testing. Test scores were then averaged to determine concert band placements. At this time, the director team has decided to make this music optional enrichment for the fall semester. For more information about the All-State process, click on the YouTube link below and skip to 23:42.

20-21 Private Lessons

Our private lesson staff continue to teach via skype, facetime, or online lessons. These lessons will need to be set up directly with the private teacher.

Please understand that lessons are the sole source of income for many of our teachers. We know these are difficult times, but if you can continue your lessons it would greatly help our extended regiment family.

If you are NOT in lessons and would like to be, it’s not too late to join!  This would be a GREAT way to keep your student continually learning and having fun while school is out.  Please complete the attached google form to sign up and we will put you in contact with one of our private lessons teachers.
