Region/All-State Auditions & Entry Verification
- Mr. Klein entered students last week for TMEA region/All-State band auditions. Please verify that you are signed up for the correct track.
- *CHS Band will be paying for student entry fees.*
- We will schedule recording sessions in the CHS Band Hall the week of:
- Phase 1: November 14th - 18th
- Phase 2 & 9th Grade: December 5th - 9th
Fri, November 13th - Home Game vs Legacy HS
- We are NOT taking buses to the game & No Meal deal after school
- Pre-sale ticket prices are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.
- Pre-sale tickets will remain on sale until Friday, November 6, at 4:00pm.
- After 4:00pm on Friday, any remaining tickets will increase to $8.00 per ticket.
- All tickets will be sold online and there will not be ticket windows open at the stadium. Concessions will be open on game night.
- Due to COVID rules, ticket capacity at BISD Stadium on the home side will be limited to 2000 tickets and 1500 on the visitor's side.
- As a reminder, this game is being conducted according to the rules and regulations of the University Interscholastic League. This facility is also following COVID-19 risk mitigation guidelines as recommended by the UIL and State Authorities. Please review the following guidelines and COVID Self-Screen to prepare for a safe and fun game.

Gentlemen:- All black semi formal (long sleeve collared shirt (no polos), black pants (no jeans), black belt, black socks, and black dress shoes.
- Black dress (floor length) & black dress shoes or black blouse, black pants, and black closed toe flats.
AM Band Rehearsals
We will have socially distant in-person morning rehearsals from 7:00-8:15am Tuesday through Friday each week. Band Hall Opens at 6:45am. Students should arrive by 6:50am; in chair at 6:55am producing sound. Virtual students may join us and go home right after rehearsal. We will also stream morning rehearsals through your schoology band class. This week we will start learning our Winter Concert Music.Virtual Meeting Links/CHS Band Music

- We are going to continue to use the Virtual Band Camp Grid IN CASE Schoology crashes and if students need to download music.
3rd Supply Check Wed Nov 18th
Supply Checks are pass or fail, so if you are missing 1 item it is a zero. Students can bring items later for full credit before the end of the six weeks grading period. We do have supplies available for purchase in the band office (please have exact change).

Most of the money is spent in August. If you need a different financial arrangement than the $100 per month please email Mr. Klein. Please make your payments online in Cut Time with a debit/credit card.**You MUST create a username & password first**
CHS Band has traditionally used this music as a big part of our fall curriculum with weekly testing. Test scores were then averaged to determine concert band placements. At this time, the director team has decided to make this music optional enrichment for the fall semester. Please understand that lessons are the sole source of income for many of our teachers. We know these are difficult times, but if you can continue your lessons it would greatly help our extended regiment family.
If you are NOT in lessons and would like to be, it’s not too late to join! This would be a GREAT way to keep your student continually learning and having fun while school is out. Please complete the attached google form to sign up and we will put you in contact with one of our private lessons teachers.

All State Music & NEW Tutorial VIDEOS
TMEA released the 2020-2021 All-State music last week. Auditions (Region and Area) will be conducted via video submission upload. More details to come as TMEA finalizes the process. TMEA also announced the new All-State Percussion Ensemble for the 2021 TMEA convention. This means they will take more percussionists from Area auditions to fill the All-State Bands, Orchestras, and the new Percussion Ensemble. 20-21 Private Lessons
Our private lesson staff continue to teach via skype, facetime, or online lessons. These lessons will need to be set up directly with the private teacher.Please understand that lessons are the sole source of income for many of our teachers.
